Mr. Alex van der Stoel

Hello! My name is Alex van der Stoel and I'm excited to be teaching grade 7 this year at TCS. I grew up just down the Old Taber Highway between Vauxhall and Enchant so there are many familiar faces in the community but I look forward to meeting everyone throughout the year. My family still farms out in Enchant and I love the closeness of agricultural communities so I know that TCS is going to have a great atmosphere. I also have a background in the trades and I am excited to also be teaching a few trades classes this year. When I'm not at school, I enjoy adventuring in the mountains with my wife, Kayley, and my son, Alder. We love hiking and camping in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
This year I am looking forward to settling into the classroom and building relationships in the community while teaching in a practical way that helps everyone have a deeper interest in their learning. Feel free to reach out! I can't wait to meet everyone at TCS.
