Hello! My name is Klaas Hoekstra and as Prinicpal of Taber Christian School I would like to welcome you to our webpage!
I would like to share a little background about myself. I moved here a few years ago from Ontario where I grew up. I spent a lot of my youth learning music and instruments as this was a talent throughout my family. Both my parents have a background in education and this inspired me to want to be part of what it means to pass on understanding to the next generation. I am married to Tanya and we have four children; Sebastian, Naamiya, Selah, and Elias. I am excited to be part of the learning that happens here at Taber Chrisitan School, within the Horizon School Division.
At Taber Christian, we are excited to offer Biblically based education to the students that enter our doors. Our Mission is:
To provide a Christian educational environment in the community of Taber, which uses biblical teaching to prepare all students to reach their full potential, so they can serve God and others with a Christ-like attitude.
The teachers, support staff, and administration are working this out each and every day both as an example for our community and with helping our student grow in their knowledge of God and His wonderful creation. The curriculum we follow, through Alberta Education, is a world leader in skills and competencies. Our students are part of a great system.
